A fairly realistic summary I think. I'm thankful that I'm old and have no kids.

But what really angers me is that most of my acquaintances are science-literate enough to know what's happening yet none of them see any reason to stop flying, driving across the country on hiking or skiing trips, or consuming generally.

It's increasingly hard to hold a rational conversation with these people - they just don't want to know.
