As a septuagenarian, I have never claimed that the kids are our last hope. Frankly, I don't have a lot of hope anyway. But having chosen to try to lower my own GHG footprint, march with the kids, and repeatedly and openly challenge the stupidity of our mainstream politicians, and the breathtaking apathy of my friends and acquaintances, I won't be surrendering.
