It is bizarre and distressing watching our civilisation collapse.

What makes it worse is that most of my acquaintances are desperate NOT to know. When climate breakdown gets mentioned, you can sense the mental gears whirring as they hunt for an alternative topic of conversation.

As a member of our local branch of 350.org, I have made presentations to our city council, written numerous letters to our local paper, taken part in student strikes and protest marches, lobbied, made formal submissions, organised petitions to our national parliament and to our public broadcaster asking for better coverage.

Others have done much more than I have. Have we made any impact? Possibly.

Is there any hope? Not much; but that's better than no hope.

Will we continue? Absolutely. https://newptc75.medium.com/politicians-mental-health-f2b4aadf868e
