It's certainly important to accentuate positive actions - choices we can all make to speed the shift to a low carbon future.

But I don't think this article accounts for the influence of commercial media in deliberate denial/downplaying of the climate crisis.

Furhtermore, it's a bit hard to point to positive initiatives when there really aren't many. The rate of temperature rise is accelerating; politicians make promises then fail to act.

If we are genuinely so gutless that we refuse to put our kids' future before our cars and our current lifestyle, then maybe we are just another evolutionary dead-end.
