The truly astounding aspect of our predicament is that the media seem hellbent on ignoring it all, while politicians of all persuasions make a living by selling delusional optimism. And those two factors together mean that most people either don't know what we are up against, or deliberately choose to look the other way. https://newptc75.medium.com/the-enigma-of-climate-inaction-2e583163e0a0

Some of us will find ourselves directly in the firing line via hurricane, flood, deadly heat or drought. But for most, the accelerating impact of climate breakdown and related planetary boundaries will show up as escalating inflation, higher energy prices, rocketing insurance costs, falling living standards, and more ludicrous excuses from politicians. Hence increasing voter resentment. That's an excellent recipe for political instability and ultimately fascism. https://newptc75.medium.com/planetary-overshoot-and-the-threat-of-fascism-6ce2c8fca6f8
